2008 Mercedes Benz SLR

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR – better known as the famed McLaren, is a car that instantly grabs the attention of passersby. Its exterior is well-known by car enthusiasts and racing game enthusiasts alike, but less known might be its exceptional interior and its many special features and options.

The inside of the car is most definitely German inspired, swathed in luxurious leather, sleek aluminum, and carbon fire. The pièce de résistance inside of the 2008 SLR is an engine starter button, which is innovatively hidden just beneath a cover which is located on the gear lever and flips up to reveal the button.

The seats are racing inspired and made of the aforementioned carbon fibers, and drivers agree that they offer extreme amounts of support. For that matter, Mercedes is renowned for custom tailoring the seats’ upholstery to the comfort, tastes, specifications, and the very proportions of every 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren driver.

Check The Trunk For Spritle and Chim Chim

Careful the next time you pull up to a restaurant in the 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR -- you may get mobbed by the valets. This isn't just a vehicle, it's a lab project between Mercedes and McLaren Technologies, the Formula One folk. This collaboration has produced a speed racer that makes the Mark V seem a little on the staid side, scissor doors and all.

The body isn't just a re-issue, it's an all-new three-layer carbon fiber construction (meaning it's even stronger than steel). It's built to take an enormous amount of impact in case of crash -- which might come in handy, considering it's a legit 200-mph'er.(Just don't tell the kid parking it down at the restaurant.)

Ane look at the price will tell you the 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR isn't for everyone -- but if you can't stop salivating, check out all the photos, specs, reviews and other volumes here in our automotive library. You will, of course, need some financing advice for this one though. Enjoy!
